We Call on Him....

 Beware, lest you forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage---Deuteronomy 6:12

Let the Good times roll !!! We all have heard that phrase !! In our daily lives we all strive for the "Good Times" . Times when the work is fulfilling! Times with money in the bank! Times when the family is healthy and happy!

Good times though can be dangerous!! Our contentment with life's comforts and prosperity takes our focus off the Lord. Leaving us little or no time for Him!! Our feeling of prosperity is often replaced with one of complacency. Like the old gospel song says "When hopes are dim we call on Him", but when everything is rosy when tend to forget our source for all of these blessings!! When we read Deuteronomy 6:10-19 we learn the Lord's instructions to Israel to make sure they didn't forget where they came from!!

History tells us that people lose a little religious fervor when times are prosperous . We can keep this from happening if we continue to heed the Bible's instruction and follow Israel's example. More often than not prosperity tends to be a greater test of our character than poverty!! Be careful not to forget the Lord !! No matter the situation . Dark or bright!! We always need to call on Him !!
